Nutrisystem Week 4 COMPLETE!!

So, y'all guys, considering this week was my birfday and my absolute favorite holiday of the year, I'd say I did pretty f*cking awesome. OH! And I had to go to lunch on Friday with a co-worker and customers that I had never met before.. *insert a side of stress*

I really didn't struggle with will power, maybe because I knew I was already more than half way finished, so here you go!

Day 22- Woke up feeling like a rockstar, decided not to get on the scale. It was my birthday, after all. I had texts and facebook notifications and all that, so I felt pretty special already. I got up and made muffins for the fam, and Stephen had helped the kiddos make me birthday, cards, so that just made my freaking day. They write such sweet messages when they are encouraged to make their own cards. Day.Made.

What I ate-- I ate all 4 servings of my veggies, and drank my 64 oz of water in addition to the following.....
Breakfast: One boiled egg and One Double Chocolate Muffin, don't worry, it was a Nutrisystem one, so it wasn't all that, but chocolate for my birthday breakfast was pretty spectacular.
Powerfuel: Boiled egg. I know dudes. I freaking love eggs.
Lunch: Cheddar Broccoli Rice (soup). I don't know why they don't label this as a soup because it totally is.
Powerfuel: Low Fat String Cheese
SmartCarb: 1% Cottage Cheese, 1/4 cup. I really like cottage cheese and eating the 1% is NOT at all like having skim milk vs. whole milk. I really can't tell the difference. Skim milk should be a sin. Ew.  Also, Cottage Cheese is a Powerfuel, not a SmartCarb, so I fucked this one up.
Dinner: Turkey Bacon Sausage Rigatoni. This was pretty disappointing. It came in a white sauce that had literally zero flavor. So I washed it down with two Miller 64s. Which I have come to really love.

Day 22- THIS IS IT! THIS IS MY FAVORITE HOLIDAY OF THE WHOLE FREAKING YEAR. ALL THE LOVINS. ALL THE HEART EYES, HUGS AND SMOOCHES! YYYYAAAASSS! I set out all the kids' gifts before waking them up to have breakfast. It began as a super happy day.

What I ate-- I ate all 4 servings of my veggies, and drank my 64 oz of water in addition to the following.....
Breakfast: One boiled egg and a Cinnamon Bun Bar. EWWW, gross, but it was the last one in the package, so I don't have to eat it EVER again. so happy.
Powerfuel: 1/4 cup 1% cottage cheese. I put black pepper on mine, and I love it. yum.
Lunch: Tortilla soup. Again, last package of my shipment, so I am happy that I NEVER HAVE TO EAT THIS AGAIN.
Powerfuel: Low Fat String Cheese
SmartCarb: 1/4 cup Roasted Red Pepper Hummus, eaten with cucumbers
Dinner: Italian Flatbread. This is like a wannabe pizza, and really, it's fine, but if I wasn't on this diet, I would not eat it.

Day 23- Gettin my mornin' grind on. Stephen had to be to work early, so I did breakfast and getting kiddos ready on my own, which, shockingly, I am capable of, it is just not nearly as enjoyable. On my way to work this particular morning, I stopped to get skim milk (SIN) to go with my Nutriflakes cereal that I knew I was going to have later and I found... wait for it.... MY MOST FAVORITE WATER IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD.... Mountain Valley Spring. Please see my FB video to be fully exposed to the happiness this brought me.

What I ate-- I ate all 4 servings of my veggies, and drank my 64 oz of water in addition to the following.....
Breakfast: Nutriflakes cereal with skim milk. Other than the speed at which these got soggy, it was actually pretty good.
Powerfuel: Boiled egg. I know, okay. I know.
Lunch: Fudge Graham Bar. My favorite Meal bar that I have had from Nutrisystem.
Powerfuel: Low Fat String Cheese
SmartCarb: Hummus with Cucumbers.
Dinner: Lasagna with Meat Sauce. So gross. so so so gross. It was the last one of my shipment though, so at least it is over. I had one Miller 64.

Day 24--- We got some less than stellar news on Wednesday that totally took the wind out of my sails after the Mountain Valley Spring Water discovery. Everyone is fine. Not anything that is going to effect us longterm, but at the time, it sucked.

What I ate-- I ate all 4 servings of my veggies, and drank my 64 oz of water in addition to the following.....
Breakfast: One boiled egg and dry granola cereal.
Powerfuel: string cheese.
Lunch: I skipped lunch. I know. Not the plan but I was pissed the hell off from the negative nancy news the previous night. At least I didn't go the other way and go get a Grand Mac Burger with a Shake and Large Fries.
Powerfuel: Low Fat String Cheese
SmartCarb: Couscous cooked in Beef Broth. 1/4 cup. YUM. I also put black pepper on this dish.
Dinner: I skipped dinner also. The kids were with their dad, Stephen was working late, and again, negative nancy news was still effecting me. I had like 6 shots (mixed with sprite zero) and not all at once, before I went to bed. It wasn't a great night.

Day 25- It's Fridaaaayyyy! Y'all. IT IS FUCKING FRIDAY. Thank you Lord, Sweet Baby, Jesus. I had a closing today in Clarendon, which was about an hour away to take care of Friday morning, and had already been committed to taking the customers out for lunch after. I was super anxious about ordering vegetables only for lunch in an effort to not screw my nutrisystem up any more this week.

What I ate-- I ate all 4 servings of my veggies, and drank my 64 oz of water in addition to the following.....
Breakfast: One boiled egg and a Peanut Butter breakfast bar. so gross.
Powerfuel: Low Fat String Cheese.
Lunch: At the restaurant, in front of my customers, I shit you not, I ordered a taco salad without meat or cheese. So the waitress looks at me and says, 'so you want lettuce and tomato?' and I smiled my biggest smile and said, 'Yes ma'am!'. I ate it with their salsa as dressing and it was actually pretty great.
Powerfuel: Low Fat Cream Cheese
SmartCarb: Couscous
Dinner: I did not eat the Nutrisystem Dinner on Friday night. We had a rush of happy happy news and we were celebrating all weekend, so I was not as well behaved as I have been previously. I had 5 dry rub chicken wings from Bdubs and they were awesome!
Drank: I had one Miller 64 and a double Jameson on the rocks. so so good.

Day 26- It's a happy morning today. I have a surprise couples massage planned for our Valentine celebration today. I was so excited, I couldn't even sleep in. I got up, played with Sadie and made breakfast. We were celebrating today, and yes, I will share our news in a separate post as soon as I am able, I promise. I did not make the best choices, I'll tell you that right now.

What I ate-- I did not get all my veggies in today, but I did drink all my water.
Breakfast: One egg fried in fake butter, the spray kind.
Powerfuel: Nope
Lunch: Boiled egg.
Powerfuel: Nope
SmartCarb: Nope
Dinner: We went to Red Lobster, Stephen's favorite. We had stuffed mushrooms (I ate 2) and cheesesticks (I ate 1) as an appetizer, and I drank a Manhattan. For my meal I ordered the Surf N Turf which came with a 6 oz sirloin covered in baby shrimps in some kind of sauce, a stuffed lobster tail, mashed potates, green beans and mushrooms in brown butter sauce. I ate half my lobster tail, 3/4 of my steak, most of my potatoes and all the green beans and mushrooms. This ish was good y'all. OH! AND I had a biscuit and a half of their heavenly cheddar bread stuffs.  Totally worth whatever this costs me on my journey.
Drank: I had 3 Bud 55s (I definitely prefer the Miller 64) in addition to my Manhattan (Bourbon & Vermouth over ice) at dinner.

Day 27: I did not get all my veggies in today either, but I did drink all my water. We overslept and missed church this morning, so Stephen took my to lunch at one of our favorite Mexican food places. YUMMO.

What I ate-- .
Brunchish: I had a Tecate Light (95 cals) with my crispy chile rellano stuffed with chicken and cheese. I ate about half of it, with a few bites of beans and rice and a handful of chips and salsa. Then the hubster took mama shopping, because he is too good to me.
Snack: Boiled egg and Lowfat String Cheese
Dinner: I made Jambalya (recipe at bottom if you want it), but it was not Nutrisystem friendly. I also made cheesy garlic bread and I had one piece with my dinner.
Drank: I had 2 Bud 55s and a Colorado Bulldog with 2% milk (glass full of ice, one part vodka to one part Kahlua, half(ish) cup of milk and about a quarter cup of coke zero)

I am down 13 pounds after one month and honestly, I feel like I am on top of the freaking world. I fit into a size 8 pair of jeans that have been in my closet for months that I have never fit into on Sunday. I was pushing a size 14 when I started. My only regret is that I didn't do measurements through my journey because I can feel the inches that have been melted off my body.

Chat next week friends!

Jambalaya Recipe:
Small Chicken breast, diced
4-6 oz Kielbasa diced
1 Fresno Chile (we prefer these over jalepenos)
2 cloves garlic
1 can Rotel
3 cups chicken or beef broth
1 cup white rice
Cajun Seasoning

Add 1-2 T oil to large pot and cooked diced chicken until no longer pink. Add kielbasa and cook until everything is gloriously golden brown. Add chile and saute. Turn pot down to low and add garlic until satisfied with the aromas. Add rice and turn back up to medium, saute until rice is opaque. Sprinkle with Cajun seasoning and stir until evenly distributed. Add rotel and broth, turn to simmer, cover and let it cook 20 minutes, or until rice is done. Voila.

#allthethangs

Near the end of 2016, one night while Stephen and I were lying in bed, I told him, "2017 is going to be our year. I can feel it. I know it. We are going to have all tha thangs," and then last night, he reminded me of this and *GASP* told me I was right! This year has been wild, but this summer has been bountifully, overwhelmingly perfect. Obviously, you know we closed on our home, which was hitting the biggest goal we have had for the last (almost) four years. We also bought a new vehicle, which we desperately needed, but were holding out until after we closed on our home, you know, 'just in case'. There is something else  that we have been wishing/hoping/praying for since I've known Stephen, and it has finally come to fruition. She's here y'all, and not just for her required 42 days this summer. She's here. She is going to school here, I just dropped her off for her first day this morning. She is making friends, learning to drive, and buildi...

SO CLOSE!

Y'all guys, OHEMGEE, y'all guys! We are now less than THREE weeks away from closing on our home and moving in. WHAAAAT?!?! I need to get busy! Anyone wanna volunteer to come help me pack? This weekend, next weekend, or the weekend after that, I'm totally free... you know, for packing. Come on and make a trip to A-Town! We got wind and dirt for days, you can't even imagine! I'll wine and dine ya', take you to Cadillac Ranch, and tell you how pretty you are. SWEAR IT. Seriously though, so much to do and I want to do it all right now! We are beyond ecstatic. For one, our final rent payment cleared our account this week, and it was one of the best feelings in the world. Knowing that after 3 years of saving and planning, we are about to move into a home that is ours. Speaking of the rent thing, it got my brain wondering how much money we have spent in rent in the last 3 and a half years... Do you want to know? Its insanity. SEVENTY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS. Gone, jus...

TWENTYEIGHTEEN Y'ALL GUYS!

Y'all. How has another year already gone by? And seriously, has it really been almost five months since I blogged last? What the actual F?!? Where did 2017 go? I wasn't done kicking ass and taking names yet... honestly though, I'm not even a little sad its over. I got a whole new freaking year to kill it. Right? I'm pretty sure I have hit those years that my parents used to talk about 'time flying'. SLOW DOWN. Or, you know, speed the hell up, like, get me right to retirement, I'm moving to Honduras! jaykay, jaykay. I am loving all the kids, and soaking up all the memories. I know. It only happens once. all that. So many of my high school friends/acquaintances have either just had their last baby, or are about to. And I'll be honest, I'm super jealous. There have been tears. Many. And I don't even like to cry. But then, I start doing some simple math, and I'm like, I will not even be 45 yet when my youngest graduate high school... y'all ...
